Good Morning!
When I share information it is because it has been tried
and tested or I want to spare you the lesson.
When I went to NCCU in Durham, NC I was odd because
I was an out of state student. Most weekends and holidays
I was on campus while everyone else drove an hour or two
to their home place!
It can be very lonely and dull and lack luster when you are
unable to get the charge family delivers.
If I had to do it over again I would gravitate towards the admin
staff and start interviewing people about their holiday plans,
goals, and desires!
The library can be daunting and spooky so find places that
have the best lighting, i.e. the cafeteria, or the student union
for networking and studying.
Plan ahead. Save money so you can go home whenever the
need occurs. Volunteer in the campus police station or in the
surrounding campus community...
Work with your Dorm or apartment managers to host a holiday
party!
These options will take away the lonely's.
